Our new Raised Bed Mulch Layer

Our Community Harvest Coordinator, Jason Gray, is getting ready for the growing season with the newest addition to our farming equipement.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Harold Crabtree Foundation, we were able to purchase a much needed Raised Bed Mulch Layer.

With this piece of equipment, Jason can shape the planting bed and lay the biodegradable mulch with drip tape all in one pass.

Unsure what this would look like in action? Check out this YouTube clip (this is not an Ottawa Food Bank video).

Thank you Harold Crabtree Foundation! Your support will greatly help us ensure we include much needed fruits and vegetables into the diets of people in need in the Ottawa community.
