The results of the Great Glebe Garage Sale, held on May 27, are in. Thanks to the generosity and creativity of the Glebe community, over $15,600 was raised for the Ottawa Food Bank!
The Great Glebe Garage Sale is an annual event where Glebe residents sell their unwanted treasures and donate the proceeds to the Ottawa Food Bank. It’s also a fun day of shopping, socializing and supporting a great cause.
This year, we saw many wonderful ways in which people raised money for the food bank. Some held garage sales, others sold lemonade or baked goods, offered musical performances, and some simply made a donation. We are grateful for every dollar and every kind gesture.
We would also like to thank the Glebe BIA and the Glebe Community Association for their leadership and continued support of the Great Glebe Garage Sale. They have been organizing this event since 1986 and are a true inspiration for community involvement.
Thank you again to everyone who participated in and contributed to the Great Glebe Garage Sale. You made a difference to the lives of many people who rely on food support. We hope to see you again next year!
