Khalsa Aid supports KickStart!

The Ottawa Food Bank is thrilled to announce a donation from Khalsa Aid Canada:

580lbs (approx. 140 cases) of Nature Valley Granola bars!

Khalsa Aid was interested in supporting the Ottawa Food Bank’s KickStart After 4 program. KickStart After 4 is our after-school program which gives nutritious meals and snacks to children who often go to school hungry. KickStart also supplies lunches to day-camps throughout the summer when school is out.

Granola bars are one of the items we purchase regularly for this program. Knowing this, Khalsa Aid donated 580lbs (approximately 140 cases) of Nature Valley Granola bars – the exact kind that we purchase!

Khalsa Aid is an international NGO with the aim to provide humanitarian aid in disaster areas and civil conflict zones around the world. The organisation is based upon the Sikh principle of “Recognise the whole human race as one”. Click here to learn more about Khalsa Aid!
