As the holiday season is upon us, one thing is for sure: the need for food support does not stop. After a record-breaking year of food program visits in Ottawa, we also recognize the importance of rest for staff and volunteers at the Ottawa Food Bank.
To balance both the need for our services with the need to come back reenergized in the New Year, we will be operating on a modified schedule this holiday season.
- Tuesday, December 24: Open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 25: Closed
- Thursday, December 26: Closed
- Friday, December 27: Closed
- Tuesday, December 31: Open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 1: Closed
Our hours remain the same for all other days. As a reminder, our regular hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you or a neighbour need immediate food assistance during our closures:
- Call or text 2-1-1, or visit their website
- Use our Find Food tool to find your local community food bank
If you are looking to support the Ottawa Food Bank this season:
- Donate food or funds in person at 2001 Bantree Street during our office hours
- Donate funds online at any time
- Learn more about other ways to give before December 31st here
- Email your City Councillor and the Mayor to tell them that food insecurity matters to you
As Ottawa endures a food insecurity crisis, your support is more vital than ever. Thank you for your contributions to the Ottawa Food Bank. We wish you a safe and happy holiday season. Our work continues in 2025!
