The Ottawa Food Bank is looking for an individual to fill a full-time, one-year contract position as a Truck Driver & Warehouse Worker DZ.
Under the supervision of the Manager – Operations, the Truck Driver/Warehouse Worker DZ organizes and prepares daily deliveries and performs warehouse and other related duties; picks up donated/purchased food and other goods from donor locations; and delivers food/other goods to member agencies.
The successful candidate will have a proven background and experience in warehousing but also driving 5-ton trucks in a city street environment. If you are energetic and motivated, have exceptional customer service skills as well as a drive and passion for the Ottawa Food Bank’s core values and mission, then you may be the person we are looking for.
The ideal candidate is a true team player who is detail-oriented and well organized, has good judgement and prioritization skills, comfortable working with little supervision, and enjoys the flexibility of duties changing due to organizational needs.
