Ottawa Food Security Conference 2022

Join us on Thursday October 27th for a virtual conference with discussions focused on food security, and the actions that can be taken to improve the outcomes for both community members who access support services and for our community as a whole.

Purchase a ticket here.

The goals of this year’s conference:
1. LEARN with and from food security stakeholders across sectors and community members with lived experience.
2. COLLABORATE with these parties to accomplish more together.
3. CONTINUE this work together beyond the conference with informed next steps to take individually and collectively

How do we realize the next steps in transforming food security with a community-focused approach?
Building on last year’s theme of Inspiring Change, this year’s conference has the theme of Innovative Approaches to Community-Focused Food Security and will bring together community members with lived experience and food security stakeholders to better understand the needs, capacities and required next steps of our communities. For the first time ever, members of the public can register and participate in the conference!

The conference will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation to French.

This year, we also have a special offer of coupon codes from the amazing Market13 digital marketplace! Limited to the first 200 conference registrants, each code provides $10 towards choosing from a fantastic array of products and services provided by local businesses and social enterprises!

Conference registration costs $10. Free registration is available for those with lived experience with food insecurity, and for member agencies – email us at events@ottawafoodbank.ca for more information.
