The Ottawa Food Bank is looking for an individual to fill a full-time, permanent position as a Fundraising Assistant.
Under the direct supervision of Director of Communications & Development, the Fundraising assistant will support the Communications and Development team with a variety of administrative duties. The work involves prioritizing conflicting needs, handling all matters expeditiously and proactively, and following through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
The successful candidate will have a passion for learning new things and a desire to learn about every aspect of fundraising. A proven self-starter and go-getter, the successful candidate is flexible and can manage competing priorities. This role supports the success of the Ottawa Food Bank by supporting the Director of communications and development and team.
The ideal candidate will be curious, detail-oriented and possess exceptional organizational skills, highly developed people skills, be able to remain calm under pressure, and enjoy working within a collaborative team of skilled, caring professionals.
